活動地點：光復鄉光復糖廠、馬太鞍部落、吉利潭
活動時間：三個小時
從光復糖廠出發，沿著林田幹線騎乘途經馬太鞍部落、古屋最後抵達秘境景點吉利潭。

Historical GouZi Wei＋Succulent Pots
Hualien City & Ji’an Township
The total land area of Hualien City and Ji’an Township is about 100km2.This small part of Hualien is occupied by about 190,000 people, 2/3 of the population in Hualien County, and the population density is 2000 person/km2.
What makes these places special? Aboriginal culture of Taroko, Sakizaya & Amis, and cultures that made up by the Japanese colonization, Da-chen, Taiwan Retired Soldiers, Hakka…… And varieties of organic vegetables farming, all these interesting experiential activities and cultures contributes to it’s uniqueness.

This place around the large ditch in Hualien City, formerly known as HongMao-Xi (Red Head Rivulet).It is said that the Spanish went ashore along the rivulet to look for gold, meanwhile, this rivulet flows through the downtown, and this was why people called it “ditch” (Gou Zi). During the Japanese Colonization, conflicts and disputes were often happened in the area, and a Red-light district was being set up there, and that was how it became prosperous. After blaze in 1961, people started to build houses on the rivulet, this brought it to the peak of this area around it, charming like les Champs-Élysées. Unfortunately, the train station here was removed in 1980, and crowds are slowly vanished.
To restore its beauty and liveliness, they said to ask the remaining people to leave, just to keep the amenity space, and then they request to cover up the ditch. Today, they really build up the les Champs-Élysées, GouZiWei had its second fate with the Champs. But the stories never stopped, book a trip with us and know what’s next!

l Charges
We collect “Handling Charge” according to number of participant. Other charges (eg. material, instructor, transportation, tour guide, meal & insurances) will be reimbursed with receipts & invoices.
12－18 people: NT$500/person
19－25 people: NT$400/person
CHARGES FOR A FULL ENGLISH TOUR GUIDE WILL BE DIFFERENT.
Handling charges including costs of contacting operators (such as paperwork, telecommunication) and field trips with students etc.
Any operators/alliance/personal members or tourists that willing to participate in our tours, it means to understand and accept the rules of declaration of expenses and other related procedures of TCU.
