[Nadolan Workshop] Weaving Experience

Introduction to Nadolan Workshop

At the age of sixteen, he began to learn the traditional weaving of Taroko, and got the which is inherited from the elders and ancestors. After years of travelling around and performing, he could not forget the culture of weaving of Taroko. Instead, he learned foreign craftsmanship skills besides performing around the world, and even made all kinds of small accessories to hone his craftsmanship.

Because of the mission to inherit the Taroko culture, Nadolan Studio was established in 1989. She was not only actively learned the orthodox weaving techniques from the elders of the tribe, but also worked hard to explore the ancient skills to improve her artistic ability.

She’s good at using colors and textures to combine the living memories of my own people with ancient legends, so that the finished weaving products are more alike with our daily lifestyle , which is not contain complicated meanings that are hard to understand. The aesthetics of life shows more colorful and diverse changes through traditional weaving. Apply traditional weaving products to life craftsmanship, so that the creation and development of each work will re-emphasize her vision: to make Taroko weaving crafts part of our lives, so that everyone can understand and accept Taroko culture more easily , and being recognized and valued by everyone.
