Yiyuan Resort

Yiyuan Resort is located between the Taiwan’s East Rift Valley, and right beside the Hualien Creek. The founder was originally engaged in agriculture and stock farming, and this couple worked hard, often transport agricultural products to the north. On the long journey, they rest under the lush big banyan tree by the roadside, have lunch, and chat, which makes the difficult days a sweet treat, and built up inseparable relationships with the old trees.

Since then, the founder heard that a big tree was about to be cut down, so he transplanted the tree back regardless of the cost, in order not to lose the trees’ life and people’s memories. Every tree planted in Yiyuan is regarded as a family-like “careful maintenance”. Perhaps the old trees know about the hard work done by the founder, it has grown strong and flourished here, extending its life. In order to pass on the concept of protecting and loving trees to the next generation, the founder gave up his business and transformed his land into a leisure tourism industry. In the end, the land and the earth rejuvenated, and here comes the Yiyuan resort.

Adhering to the spirit of protecting and loving trees, they are committed to the development of natural ecology and environmental education. So far, they are now one of the 25 tourism and entertainment businesses in Taiwan, and have passed the environmental education facility “Yiyuan Ecological Mini Education Centre” certified by the Environmental Protection Agency. And in 2020, they won the 1st place in the private business group of the 7th National Environmental Education Award. We hope that every tourist who comes to Yiyuan Resort can get a good rest here and feel the nature and humanities of this land.
