Ten years ago, the farm manager engaged in conventional farming methods, which is using chemical pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and chemical agents to weed and these could destroy the ecological environment. Later, a senior visited and suggested that he should follow the natural farming methods, that it is better to not use chemical pesticides and fertilizers. This does not just protect the environment but also his own precious fields, which is the best for his own health and the health of consumers. In order to treat this piece of land better, the farm manager decided to engage in natural farming methods, and later joined the Hualien County Agricultural Team, for nearly ten years until now. It’s correct that the conventional farming method helps fertilize the land as well as good yielding, but this isn’t solving the main source of problem. Even though the yield decreased rapidly in the first 3 years of the implementation of the natural farming method, the yield and quality of fruits have been greatly improved after six years of accumulated experience. The sustainable development of agriculture depends on natural farming methods. Only by respecting nature and complying with natural laws, human and all living things on the land can be truly healthy. This is the concept of natural farming methods. The nature is the source everything, and our lives are the gift from nature. We all depend on the nature to grow. Therefore, human beings should use the power of nature wisely on growing crops.

What’s so great about them is that they support all cycles of elements.

The application of beneficial microorganisms is caring for the land, maintaining the soil, and exert the natural power of the land.
