917 Farm
A couple who originally lived in the city chose to return to their hometown, Hualien to create an ideal living and educational environment for their child.
Introduction to the farm & products
Before returning to their hometown in 2006, this couple worked as engineers in the Science Park. Due to work pressure and irregular working hours, both of them were burnt out. After the birth of their eldest son, they decided to return to their hometown to farm and live a healthy life. But they’ve seen a lot of farmers using pesticides, and this inspired them to create a healthier environment by starting organic farming.
917 was named after the birth of the eldest son at 9:17. Since then, they’ve built a home, a farm, and a brand. The farm logo is composed of two sets of “917”, like a house, the character of 917 in mandarin is the steel structure of the house, which also coincides with the homophonic meaning of “together”.
