The land area of this township is 600km2, occupied with a population of only 6000 people, and population density is 10 people per km2. What’s special in Wanrong? They have the Taroko, Bunun, Atayal and Seediq Culture, and bamboo harmonica, xylophone performances, hand-woven products, traditional weaving products, bamboo rice, coffee and hunter school.

【Introduction to Songhong Farm】
Songhong Farm is a farm established on the mid-levels of the East Rift Valley in the Kunuan Village which located in Wanrong Township. Since 1998, they have been planting fruit trees (sweet persimmons, peaches, prunes, plums, bitter tea trees, sacha inchi, bananas, etc.) and leafy vegetables, and they’ve awarded the organic certification in 100 years. This is a farm with 2.8 hectares planting area and a cinnamon planting area of 1 hectare. The trees are 26 years old and the average monthly output is more than 50 kilograms.
A day tour is the most suitable to experience everything in the farm. The farm provides chef’s tasting menu dishes according to the different seasonal vegetables and fruits, and accommodation services.
The most recommended by the farm owner is the landscape that worth millions. The ever-changing sea of clouds in the morning and starry sky at night make you reluctant to sleep.
【A Tour with Sacha Inchi】
Sacha Sacha is native to the tropical rain forests of the Andes Mountains in South America, also known as Plukenetia volubilis, mountain peanut or Inca-peanut, and has been cultivated as food for more than 3,000 years. Because of its rich unsaturated fatty acids, it has been known as a “super food” in recent years. In addition, every part of the tree can be eaten, and it’s considered a national treasure in Peru, can be used in cooking in different ways, using different part of the plant including green star-shaped capsules, drupe-like seeds, green leaves a and young vine shoots.
Sacha Inchi contains seeds with a fat content of 40% to 50%, which can be cold-pressed into Sacha Inchi oil, which is rich in Omega 3 that is 12 times that of fish oil, as well as Omega 6 and 9, which makes it known as “fish oil that grows on trees”.
The Sacha Oil is extracted from the dried seeds of the fruit. The usage of it is like olive oil, and can also be drunk directly. The taste is refreshing and fragrant, can be mixed with a variety of hot and cold dishes for a nutty flavor, or eat with bread for a moist texture and extra aroma
There are currently three types of farm experience tours:
The farm and the outdoor landscape restaurant can accommodate about 50 people, and we expect a group with at least 10 people. The duration of tour is about 5-6 hours.
They also provide accommodation for 14 people (2 double rooms, 1 eight-bed room, 1 quadruple room, 3 rooms with toilet and bath)
Camping is also available in the farm, visit us at anytime!
