從光復糖廠出發，沿著林田幹線騎乘途經馬太鞍部落、古屋最後抵達秘境景點吉利潭。

XuanZhen Fragrant Wood: Handmaking Wooden Pen & Thumb Piano
Fenglin Town:
Fenglin is the first town in Taiwan to be certified as Slow City by the Cittaslow International. The land area is about 120km2 , and population is about 10,000 people, and the population density is about 89 people per km2.What’s special in here includes Amis culture, Japanese immigrant village culture, Hakka culture, Tobacco Barn culture, Hyakkiyakou Night (Goblins Night), rice, soy milk, peanuts, peeled peppers, presidential melon, cinnamon, Shansu, various farming experiences and DIY.

The Hakka-s called Hinoki/Taiwan Cypress as “Songluo”.From Hinoki leftovers and driftwood picked up from streams at the beginning, pistacia chinensis, yew, cypress, Xiao Nan, Taiwan cedar, and wood from Congo Africa, South America and Mexico, Teacher Yeh had chosen as many as 150 types of wood to transform them into pens.
Wood materials have an important spot in local communities’ history. Fenglin’s important industry in the past was forestry. This place was named Lintian during the Japanese Colonization, but this is a different place from the Lintien Mountain in Wanrong. The past history of cutting and logging has been left in the memory of the older generations of people in the community. The pen made of wood is precisely the hope that can connect the people of the local community from the past to the future.
There’re many choices in Songluo Woodpen. Not only can the pen lead be replaced so it can be used for a long time, and when the longer the pen is used, the more it will show the charm of wood. Just like “feeding” a jade, the grease of the hand will moisturize the wood grain of the pen body, revealing the personality of the author/user.
Handmaking a thumb piano with fragrance and special texture is also a good choice. If you are tired of writing, it is also good to play the piano.
Thumb Piano is actually a traditional musical instrument from Africa. It is a musical instrument that resonates with wooden voice box and iron pieces with different length, so it is also called iron pieces piano.
Thumb Piano is also called Kalimba, Its original design is very simple, probably because different tribes in Africa have their own designs
Thumb Piano is mainly used for vocal accompaniment. When playing, you should hold the piano body in both hands, and then use both thumbs to play. When the thumb is pressed and released, the steel pieces will vibrate and make a sound. Although it is said that it’s played with the thumb, the nails of the thumb will make the sound clearer and sharper, so it is recommended that those who want to play the thumb piano can keep the nails of the thumb longer.

We collect “Handling Charge” according to number of participant. Other charges (eg. material, instructor, transportation, tour guide, meal & insurances) will be reimbursed with receipts & invoices.

Handling charges including costs of contacting operators (such as paperwork, telecommunication) and field trips with students etc.
